Jamboree Information
|
|
The Tri-State ATV Jamboree originates in southern Utah in the
town of Hurricane. The rides will be on the Tri-State ATV Trail
System. Jamboree Headquarters are at the Washington County Regional
Fairgrounds, located approximately 3 miles east on SR-9 from the Exit 16
- I-15 interchange. (N37
09.848 W113 24.846) You will need to transport your ATV to the
trail head staging areas. We can no longer ride on our ATVs directly
to the trails as in past years.
Trail sign-up will be held during check in on March 14th and 15th.
This is a first come first choice basis so arrive early to get the trail
picks you want.
The
registration fee for the Jamboree is $100.00/per participant
(Driver or Passengers
Regardless of Age).
Registration spots fill up fast - and they are limited - so register early.
There are other events in the
area at the same time and many motels and RV parks fill prior to our
registration deadline. Make your reservations as early as
possible.
Your
registration fee includes:
 | all trail fees |
 | jamboree
t-shirt |
 | a full breakfast
each morning |
 | thursday night ice cream social
|
 | dutch oven
dinner friday night |
 | guided tours |
 | prize drawings |
Here's some helpful information:
-
Block out March 14 - 17
on your calendar.
-
Registration is required no later than
February 22, 2012.
-
To register please go to the
Registration Page and complete
either the online or mail-in registration form.
-
Your personal registration information is for our
use only and will not be distributed
for any other use.
-
Make your motel, campground and ATV rental reservations (if
necessary) early. Please refer to the
Local Services Guide for
a list of local motels and RV parks.
-
We will be riding at altitudes from 2,500 feet to nearly 7,000 feet
above sea level so please tune your ATV as needed.
-
There are a limited number of ATVs for rent in our area.
Please refer to the Local Services Guide for a list of local rental
options.
-
Each registered participant assumes the responsibility for being properly
trained and outfitted as well as taking responsibility for his or her
own safety and well being. Participants also have the responsibility
for being properly insured. Registration for the Jamboree is an
indication of such willingness on the part of each participant. Refer
to the Safety and Limitation
of Liability section for more information.
-
Choose your rides carefully, according to your abilities and the
rating given with each ride description. The Jamboree rides
require that you be willing and able to transport your ATV to remote
locations.
-
We will have individual passes for each participant during check-in
at the Jamboree Headquarters located at the Washington County Regional
Park Fairgrounds. Keep your passes
with you at all times as they will identify you as a registered
participant
and will allow admission to all Jamboree events, sponsored meals, and prize drawings.
-
Bring warm clothing and rain gear in case of unexpected cooler or
wet weather. March is an ideal time to ride the trail but nights
on the desert can be somewhat cold, and weather can change without warning.
Also bring your sun screen and, of course, plenty of water to drink.
-
Utah State law requires Utah residents to have current ATV/OHV
registration. If your state does not require ATV/OHV registration,
you may ride the sanctioned guided Jamboree rides and registration/permitting
is not required. If your state does require registration,
it needs to be current. If your home State does not have a
reciprocal registration agreement with Utah and you chose to
ride any trails outside of the guided Jamboree rides on your own, or
you chose to stay and ride after the event, you will need to
purchase a
Non-Resident OHV permit for each ATV/OHV.
-
Utah State
law also states that a person under the age of 16 must be accompanied
by an adult 18 years old or over. All Resident and
Non-Resident OHV/ATV operators ages eight through fifteen must
possess a Utah OHV Education Certificate or a riding license from
their home state or residence. Operators 16 and over must have a
valid drivers license or OHV Education Certification. Helmets are mandatory
up to
age 18 and strongly advised for all riders.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
The Tri-State ATV Jamboree would like to give special thanks to the
Bureau of Land Management for allowing
Jamboree use of public lands under their administration. Their land use
and management policies have allowed for our controlled and careful use
of ATV's on public lands. Thanks also to the Utah Division of Parks and
Recreation which administers ATV registration, safety, rider training
and certification programs in Utah. Thank you to Washington County as
well for the use of county roads. Thank you to the Washington County
Regional Park Fairgrounds.
